On June 19, 2018 I gave my first Keynote Address at the SUNY SPECTRUM Conference in Albany, NY to more than 600 attendees. The focus of the conference was preventing and responding to violence against LGBTQI+ students. It was an honor to be invited to speak and I had the pleasure of meeting just a few people that are doing incredible work to create a safe environment for the LGBTQI+ college community. On May 13, 2018 I was the featured speaker at the #GiveBack Concert, which is hosted by Broadway Unlocked and benefits the Crime Victims Treatment Center(CVTC). I began my work with the CVTC in 2010 as a client, working with a therapist to address my issues around my sexual abuse as a child. Since then, I have and will continue to lend my voice and speak to the work that they do.
On April 17, 2018 I was one of 3 male sexual assault survivors on a panel held in Albany, NY. The Summit was organized by the Office of Victim Services in NY and I act as an Advisory Council Member as well.
